Center for Career Development
The Center for Career Development (CCD) provides a variety of resources to help you identify your strengths, and develop relationships that will help you plan a fulfilling path beyond graduation.
CCD coordinates interviews on and off campus, resume writing workshops, career events, and more. In this academic year alone, we expect to bring more than 475 professionals from 100 different employers to campus. CCD also provides funding for students to attend major job fairs across the country. In your time at Washington University School of Law, you will strengthen your career search skills and create valuable connections with attorneys.

Many students establish these relationships through the Becker Project, a network of alumni and friends of Washington University Law who provide a unique resource for students. To date, it has facilitated introductions with more than 8,000 attorneys in over 50 cities, providing students with valuable advice and potential employment opportunities. To request introductions to some of the over 11,000 attorneys in our database, you can meet with a Career Strategist. You are guaranteed three introductions, and will be matched with attorneys who best fit your interests in the city of your choice.

The Becker Project
The Becker Project, named after Professor David Becker, is a network of alumni and friends of Washington University School of Law who can be helpful connections for our students. Over 11,000 attorneys are currently in our database, providing students with a wealth of resources. To date, students have made introductions to more than 8,000 attorneys through the program. These conversations provide students with valuable advice and potential avenues of employment.
To request introductions through The Becker Project, you can meet with a Career Strategist. You are guaranteed three introductions, and will be matched with attorneys who best fit your interests in the city of your choice. We ask that you respond to any attorneys that contact you within 24 hours, and that you forward your current resume to them in advance of your meeting. Afterwards, please email the Center for Career Development within two weeks with a short paragraph about the experience and any additional contacts the attorney might have provided.
