Scholarships and Fellowships

We understand that attending law school is a significant financial commitment, and we continue to explore new opportunities to help you fund your legal education. All admitted students are automatically considered for all scholarships for which they are eligible, though additional materials may be requested from candidates for certain scholarships. A wide variety of scholarships and fellowships are available for students from all backgrounds and with all kinds of professional goals. Students are also eligible for federal financial aid. 

Who Are You?

Through the generous support of our WashULaw alumni and friends, we are able to offer many named and anonymous scholarship awards to promote diversity and inclusion. To create the most valuable classroom discussion, our alumni support scholarship awards to students from varying socioeconomic backgrounds, students identifying with various affinity groups, students involved in promoting and supporting LGBTQ issues, students with both conservative and liberal values or political views, students with specific language skills, students from a variety of specific educational institutions nationally, students from many different cities and regions. As long as you have included information about you and your background in your application, you do not need to do anything additional to be considered for these scholarship awards. However, we always welcome supplements to your application with more detailed information about your background specifically for consideration during the award process.   Please  visit this page to see examples of some of these awards.


What Are Your Goals and Interests?

WashULaw alumni and friends fund many named and anonymous scholarship awards for students with a wide variety of interests and goals. A few examples include scholarships for students with expressed commitment to public interest work and community betterment, teaching and academia, entrepreneurial aspirations, or international law. If you have expressed your areas of interest in your application, you do not need to do anything additional to be considered for these scholarship awards. What Are Your Achievements?

WashULaw alumni and friends fund many named and anonymous scholarship awards for students with outstanding achievements. These scholarships support students with excellent academic credentials and evidence of leadership strength. As long as you have fully expressed your accomplishments in your application, you do not need to do anything additional to be considered for these scholarship awards.
